Big Office Project for Small Lancashire Town

  • March 30th, 2010

Rising Bridge Business and Enterprise Village is an ambitious £7 million development in Rossendale, Lancashire County, and it shows great promise of bringing some serious economic growth to the Rossendale area. The office buildings are scheduled for completion this summer, and units are now being offered for lease or sale.

King Sturge and Petty Chartered Surveyors will team up to market the top quality desk space. They are already in negotiations with interested companies attracted by the location and the high standards of construction. The site is easily accessible from the A56 in Haslingden, the M66 and Junction 8 of the M65, and should attract business from neighbouring areas like Preston, Accrington and Burney.

With a total of around 32,000 sq. ft. in three two-storey blocks, offices range in size from 230.7 sq m to 332.6 sq m, with plenty of secure parking space and bicycle racks. The builders are aiming for a BREEAM rating of Excellent – the care in design and construction has already earned BREEAM’s Very Good status.

The project has been funded by the Lancashire County Council with an assist from the Northwest Regional Development Agency, and developed in partnership with Rossendale Borough Council. Construction is by ROK Limited, which also designed the project along with Lancashire Council.

Rising Bridge Village is expected to support as many as 150 new jobs, and government officials have expressed the hope that it will attract lucrative businesses to the area and foster economic growth and prosperity for Rossendale.
