Mayer Brown Chicago, an international law firm that has been around for decades, boasts of an exceptional team of 1,800 lawyers sprawled across the Americas, Europe and Asia. Having an extensive number of talented and skilled professionals, the firm is highly capable of serving many of the world’s largest and most prominent companies. Some of these companies are those belonging to the FTSE 100 and a significant number are some of the world’s largest investment banks.

Mayer Brown Chicago has a wide range of services to offer. The firm’s skills sessions cover interview skills, writing applications, as well as generic advice regarding commercial law. Mayer Brown Chicago’s offers five open days where applicants are given the chance to have lunch with trainees and partners. Applicants for this service are asked to complete a short form that includes a 500-word statement expressing their reason for attending.

The firm also offers work experience schemes. Unlike the aforementioned open days, which lasts for only five days, the work experience scheme goes on for two weeks at Easter and three weeks in the summer.

Finally, Mayer Brown also offers training contracts. The assessment for this would cover four parts, including a one-on-one analytical test, a written analysis, a 45-minute group discussion, as well as an interview with two partners that include competency-based questions.
