Avanta signs up another full floor of tenants

  • May 18th, 2010

A City of London business centre has expanded its space by adding another let floor that is already signed for, after a sharp increase in demand for shared office space.

The new floor has had interior and exterior redecoration and was opened at the beginning of April, but before it officially opened six businesses had already signed up for the space.

Along with reports for demand in prime serviced office space, the City centre has exhibited a 29% increase in enquiries for workspace since 2010 opened.

The building centre is operated by Avanta, the serviced office provider, and was launched in January of 2009 and was let 80% just a three months after officially opening its doors.

David Alberto, the managing director of Avanta, stated that with nearly 700 enquiries for available workspace located near the city since the beginning of the year, the company is very optimistic.

He explained that generally it takes a year to two years for office space to become completely filled, so the fact that the new floor was half let before it opened shows that demand is on the rise.

The centre is found in a quiet square near the Liverpool Street Station offering it the ability to charm potential letters with a calm environment despite being in the midst of a central London business location. Originally, the complex was made up of spice warehouses giving it a period look that was maintained despite plenty of refurbishment.

The square is partially roofed so that it offers protection from the rush of Liverpool Street while allowing businesses to take advantages of the opportunities of a central city location.

Harbour Exchange Square Might Change the Commercial Space Market Scene for Owners

  • May 7th, 2010

The Chief Executive of FTSE 100 Group, David Atkins is quite optimistic about the future prospects of Hammerson, the owner of a major office block in London’s Docklands known as the Harbour Exchange Square. The £150m property is expected to enable the owners to reap benefits all through this year.

It is worth noting that despite the rise in commercial property values in UK, there are negative speculations with respect to the future of the market as more assets are brought into the picture.

According to Atkins, there is a high likelihood of retention of rent a desk properties that show better prospects than those that have failed to fare up to the company’s expected value. He added that the company is looking forward to reducing its debt while taking into account the market considerations and conducting a through evaluation of the current assets of the company. He also pointed out that company has already worked out practical financial solutions to the present problem.

The Silverburn shopping centre was bought out by Hammerson for £297m at the end of the year. The company claimed to be working upon its strategy of improving its portfolio and making more money out of it.

Though Atkins is hopeful about positive outcome for Hammerson, especially since it has interest in the Brent Cross shopping centre, the Bristol Cabot Circus and the Bullring in Birmingham, statistics suggest that the shopping centre witnessed a meagre rise of 1.7% in sales while the French portfolio of Hammerson witnessed a fall of .5%.

Organizing Your Marketing Plan

  • October 8th, 2009

Each company tries to lure potential clients to their merchandise. If you control a monopoly or exclusive product your marketing goal is to fill your customers desires with your products. These days obtaining that monopoly or exclusive agenda is practically impossible, and even if you can discover it odds are another will duplicate it very instantly.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if your marketing plan was limitless and you could try it all including the web, print material, television, newspapers, radio..), and you would surely to get great results. Unless your Microsoft, Google or Ebay odds are you don’t have the means to do that. The primary thing you must do is identify who your market is. Do you sell locally, nationally or worldwide. Even if you might sell nationally or globally is it worth it? In order to sell nationally you have to have acceptable resources both financially and in support workers. Your market is greater than settling just for locally but your competition is usually better as well.

More often we are looking at target market . Identify your market, yield less promotion material but control it to persons who you really have a possibility to sell your merchandise too. Build a list of potential clients ( using Dunn and Brad Street lists, Yellow Page Lists, Industry Lists, Industry Show lists,…). As soon as you have a list start consolidating a record of potential clients who’d you’d like to market to. Take into consideration Variable Data Marketing plans or direct marketing Email campaigns. At all times try to deal with your customers needs instead of than focusing on your product.

You barely have one opportunity to make a excellent impression. First of all try to offer your potential client a “discount” or “special offer” for them to use your product. They need to have some incentive to separate you from your competitors. Your good name and reputation are great once when they become existing loyal customers means nothing to a skeptical prospect. Stay away from going the cheap route. Use a quality printing company, create an exciting campaign, consider promotional products , or a professional web presence. Brochure printing or flyer printing has proven to be successful marketing campaigns. You must stand out to make an impression.

Once you get a lead from your campaign, you must service, service, service. As easily as it might have been to get some one interested, it usually is just as easy to lose their business. A dissatisfied customer usually does more harm to your company’s reputation and image than all the good can you acquire from your happy customers.

An All New Site

  • June 6th, 2009

The Drinking water fountains site is an extremely appropriate arm of the water delivery company and the water cooler company. Tuning into the latest social temper at the moment, the brains behind the site, noted this gap in the market. There are virtually no websites dedicated solely to the tremendous water fountain in the UK. Yes, numerous water cooler companies count water fountains among their wares, but these tend to be a side-line of the much more governing water cooler. Not so with drinkingwaterfountains.co.uk. The water fountain tends to be the far more best-selling choice in schools. It’s a more simplistic model than the cooler and generally there are no cups and cup dispensers to have to diddle around with. Youngsters can simply lean over the fountain and drink to their hearts content. It is especially important for children to comprehend the importance of water, and to form a good relationship with water from a young age. Water should not be seen as a unseasoned option to sugar packed squashes and fizzy drinks, it should be the first port of call when thirst calls. Or before thirst calls, when the mouth feels fruitless or simply because drinking water has become a wont.

Hispanic Media Relations Training: What to Do When Hispanic Media Call

  • June 27th, 2008

You are a spokesperson for your company, representing it for public speaking and media interviews. You are going about your everyday affairs, granting media interviews on a new product or service your company launched or a timely topic of general interest. All is going well and a Hispanic media representative calls. What should you do?

Should you respond to the request as you do with other general market requests? If you are wondering about the reach and importance of Latino media and Latino audiences nationwide, note that Hispanic buying power is estimated at around $600 billion a year and increasing rapidly. At the risk of stereotyping, remember Latinos are loyal buyers, especially for high ticket items, spend more than mainstream and other minority market buyers on basic products and like to purchase the best they can afford.

Is there a significant Latino media presence? Yes! Familiarize yourself with major media outlets such as Univision, one the largest which includes TV, radio, cable and online coverage; Telemundo, the second largest TV network; El Nuevo Herald in Miami, the highest circulation Spanish language newspaper; and Terra.com, one of the Latino market web portals. A useful resource with detailed information on Hispanic media and Hispanic media training is Hispanic Marketing & Public Relations (Poyeen Publishing, $49.95).

Deciding whether to accept the media interview opportunity will depend on a number of factors including your goals, the type of product or service to be discussed during the interview, your media interviewing abilities and Spanish language proficiency (if the interview is in Spanish). Keep in mind that many Latinos are English dominant (their only or preferred language is English) and a number of Hispanic media are in English or bilingual. This means your interview could be in English. Should you prepare your interview responses as you do with general media interviews? What steps should you take to get ready for the interview?

As with any other media interview make sure to practice, prepare and rehearse; don’t “wing it.” The viewers can tell when you are prepared. Unprepared speakers often leave the audience with a disappointing impression. As part of your preparation, find out as much as you can about the media outlet and the audience of the interview.

To make the best impression consult a Hispanic market expert and/or a Latino media relations coach. He or she can help you position your product or service among Hispanics. Make sure you craft your message with the specific audience you are addressing in mind, review the information for the interview, and develop Hispanic relevant message points (a reminder of the key points you want to emphasize). Make sure your company is equipped and ready to respond to any Latino market responses resulting from the interview.

Following are links to some Hispanic media websites (in Spanish), to visit if you speak or read Spanish and want to learn more about Latino media:
